Night Blooming Jasmine

My night blooming jasmine use to fill the night air with sweet aroma and lately we have not noticed the smell, when I closely inspected the plants, I noticed the the tips of the leaves are curling and have all these black bugs on the new leaves and flower buds so I flushed the bugs out with a strong stream of water. How do I get my plant back to its normal stage of producing new leaves and how do I stop the bugs.
